Accessory Depot carries products that serve three industries: cell phone / laptop accessories, outdoor gear, and marine electronics.  In this post, I am going to show you some ways you can enhance your hiking  trip with our various state-of-the-art outdoor products.

1. Tents

Lets start with arguably one of the most important items that you will carry on your hiking trip (aside from emergency items), and that is your tent.  Since it is usually the largest and heaviest item you will be carrying in your pack, you want it to be compact and light in order to give you more space for other items.

Some great tent options available from Accessory Depot:

2. Lighting

Whether it be a headlamp or a hand-held LED flashlight, lighting while hiking during the early hours can be very important.  It is important to find a headlamp that is resistant to water and impact; likewise, you want your LED flashlight to be lightweight and durable at the same time.  Here are some of our recommended lighting products from Accessory Depot:

3. Keeping your gear dry

You always want to protect yourself from the elements that you may encounter while on the trail or in the wilderness, so it is important that you have the proper equipment to keep your gear dry.

  • The first thing I would recommend is any size Dry Pak Roll Top Waterproof case.  You can fit a large amount of items in one of these cases, and you do not have to worry about it getting wet.  Likewise, the circular top makes it easy to raise it up and away from animals.

4. Monitoring your progress and location

One of the things that can really give you and advantage on the trail is a trail watch.  Theses watches have various features, such as speed/distance, compass, altimeter, barometer and even a GPS.  Below are my recommendations for a trail-rated watch with all the features you will want and need.

  • Silva Tech 4o TrailLeader 2 features speed and distance tracking, digital compass, altimeter, and a barometer.  Its small size and stainless steel case makes it perfect for the wilderness.
